CETIN Hungary and the University of Pécs enter into cooperation
The independent, integrated telecommunication infrastructure provider CETIN Hungary Zrt. and the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pécs will cooperate in three priority areas: the development of cybersecurity services, the further improvement of the quality of research and development activities, and the mutual knowledge transfer related to Building Information Modelling (BIM), which is becoming increasingly popular and known in the construction industry.
CETIN Hungary aims to contribute to the education of professionals with advanced technical skills in the field of telecommunications through joint research programs and innovative projects, while promoting cooperation between the architectural profession and telecommunications infrastructure developers. The company wishes to contribute to the high quality training of future professionals, with a special focus on priority areas in terms of human resource needs.
The Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pécs is the most dynamically developing engineering higher education institution in the region. Its aim is to provide students with theoretical and practical training tailored to the needs of the market, and to develop the technical skills of professionals who have obtained a competitive degree.
Through this cooperation, the University will contribute to the objectives of CETIN Hungary with its experience and its range of technical, IT and architectural training, while at the same time CETIN providing professional support for the training of highly qualified and competitive, both nationally and internationally acknowledged professionals.
The cooperation was announced by Tamás Bóday, Commercial Director of CETIN Hungary Zrt. and Prof. Dr. Gabriella Medvegy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pécs, together with the University's management at the Pollack Expo in Pécs. The exhibition and conference organized by the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics of the University of Pécs embodies the cooperation between economy and higher education.
CETIN has already signed agreements with the University of Óbuda and the Széchenyi István University of Győr in line with its strategy of training technical specialists.
