Skanska Hungary and CETIN Hungary enter into a cooperation to support real estate development

CETIN Hungary strengthens its presence in the real estate sector with another important partnership agreement. The independent, integrated telecommunications infrastructure provider has entered into a strategic agreement with Skanska Magyarország Ingatlan Kft., the Hungarian subsidiary of one of the world’s leading real estate developers and contractors.

The two companies started their cooperation last year. Within this framework, the internal antenna system supplying the entire building complex was designed with an innovative solution developed by CETIN in the buildings of H2Offices. H2Offices received two awards in 2023. It was also chosen as the office development of the year and the domestic real estate investment transaction of the year at the Property Awards 2023. The two companies have now raised this successful cooperation to a strategic level.

The purpose of the agreement is to jointly encourage the development and spread of the most advanced basic digitalization infrastructures related to domestic real estate developments, thereby providing the widest possible access to the benefits of digitalization.

Established as Skanska's first subsidiary in Central and Eastern Europe, Skanska Ingatlan Magyarország Kft. has more than 30 years of experience in the Hungarian market in the construction, commercial property development, residential property and infrastructure development sectors.

As one of CETIN Hungary's services, it builds and operates a service provider-independent antenna system for its business customers and their end users. These antenna systems provide perfect voice and data connectivity for all users in areas such as residential complexes, office buildings, institutions, community spaces or factories, where the existing mobile network capacity is not sufficient due to high traffic or the shielding effect of modern building technologies.

"This forward-looking agreement with Skanska, one of the world's leading real estate developers, further strengthens our presence in the real estate development sector," said Judit Kübler-Andrási, CEO of CETIN Hungary Zrt. - If the real estate developer and infrastructure provider cooperate already during the planning phase, it will make the development and future operation simpler and more cost-effective. A modern and reliable telecommunications infrastructure will also improve the customer experience of mobile internet and telephone use."

CETIN will continue to provide the highest quality, innovative and optimal technology solutions for Skanska Hungary in future joint projects.

"The users' basic expectation is that high quality mobile internet access should be available at any point of the building, from the underground garage to the elevators, as soon as the building is ready for use," said András Ábrahám, Project Director of Skanska Ingatlan Magyarország Kft. - Our common goal is to make the benefits of 21st century digital solutions available to the customers using the properties developed by Skanska."
